Danny grew up in a military family so he is not really from anywhere. He spent his elementary years in North Carolina, his middle-school in Alaska, and high school in Florida. He began attending church following his freshman year after a friend invited him to a Christian summer camp where he first heard about the Love of God. A few weeks later, the Gospel became clear and he trusted Christ as his savior in 1977. It was during a fundraiser for a winter youth camp, that he met his bride-to-be, Sue. After high school, they married and Danny joined the US Coast Guard, headed off to boot camp, avionics training, and in 1982, they ended up in Cape Cod Massachusetts. Their neighbors invited them to church and it was there they were first introduced to the ministry of AWANA. Danny’s job in the Semiconductor industry has required several relocations. He sought out ministry opportunities at each of the various locations including being a Youth Pastor, Teen Ministry Director, Awana Game Leader, and Young Adult Small Group leader. They have three children Emily, Greg, and Corey, as well as six grandchildren - Jaxon, Ethan, Kasen, Snow, Lincoln, and Mackenzie. When Danny has a little free time, he enjoys the sport of Disc Golf where he plays professionally. PDGA#35189. Danny’s life verse is Gal 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.”
