Ladies,
There are two upcoming events planned for our Women’s Ministry. 1. LYFE Conference, June 2-3 and 2. Ladies’ Retreat, October 27-28 (details about the retreat will be forthcoming, but you might want to get it on your calendar).
Regarding the LYFE Conference, in addition to what is written below, please note that there will be a price increase after April 20th, so if you are interested, don’t delay. Here is a link to the Conference: https://lyfe.clarkssummitu.edu/ for registration.
Trinity Baptist Church has a group going to Clarks Summit University (just north of Scranton PA) for a ladies’ conference in the spring. Since there will be no local retreat for the ladies in the spring of 2023, this is an amazing opportunity to hear wonderful speakers and enjoy fellowshiping with others. A number of ladies attended in May 2022 and were blessed by all that was offered. There are currently 12 ladies already registered for June 2023! Please explore the LYFE (Living Your Faith Everyday) website for more information.

Some details to help you consider going:
Dates - June 1-3, 2023 – We carpool and arrive Thursday evening so that we are ready for morning sessions on Friday. The trip is about 3 hours from Rotterdam going down I-88 and I-81. Sessions begin on Friday morning about 9:00 and we end on Saturday around 3:30.
Cost includes: Thursday/Friday campus housing, breakfast/lunch/dinner on Friday, breakfast/lunch on Saturday, all sessions, and on-campus parking. NOTE: anyone who is a student gets a special student rate. Teen girls will enjoy the sessions, too! What a great way to be teaching our young girls.
Housing: We will be housed as a group in one of the dorms. Each suite has 3 rooms with 2 beds in each room. Most floors have 4 suites with a lounge in the middle. Each 3-room suite shares a bathroom. Being that this is campus housing, we need to bring our own bedding and toiletries. More details will be given about what to bring as we get closer. We will be able to request a floor and dorm to help anyone who may have mobility issues so don’t let that stop you!
It is possible for you to stay off-campus in one of the local (5 minutes from campus) hotels if that suits you better. There are different rates for the conference that do not include hotel costs if that is your preference. The college has hotels that give discounts, too.
Sessions: There is a main speaker, Lina AbuJamra, for 4-5 sessions and breakout sessions on a variety of topics. The website will have more details on what those sessions are as we get closer to June. For now, you can read about the main speaker and check out her various messages.
Friday dinner and evening special: Friday’s dinner is made special by having it set up apart from the regular dining hall. After dinner we can enjoy a Christian musical comedian, Anita Renfroe.
If you decide to register, use our group code – Tree of LYFE – city -Niskayuna – and group leader – Ruth Long – so that you will be housed together. Feel free to invite a friend!
